THIRD TANZANIA M&E, AND LEARNING CONFERENCE

The Prime Minister Office (PMO) Policy, Parliament and Coordination of Tanzania in partnership
with Zanzibar Planning Commission (ZPC) and Tanzania Evaluation Association (TanEA) is
organizing the 3rd Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Conference in Zanzibar, on 17th to 20th
September 2024. Tanzania is a middle-income, developing African country where the
government and development partners take accountability for development results and MEL
practices seriously. There have been several efforts by different agencies working towards
improving local capacities, including strengthening the enabling environment for the
advancement of MEL practices in the country, especially through regulatory frameworks
structures and mainstreaming into the national development agendas, development projects,
and building capacities.

This conference will be a platform for Tanzanian and international stakeholders from the public
sector, private sector, CSOs and Academia to interact and learn from organizations, ministries,
and M&E professionals and practitioners on new trends, dynamics and opportunities from MEL,
as well as addressing challenges of MEL practice.

Conference Themes

Submissions are encouraged that address, but are not limited to, the following themes:
Conference Theme: Transforming Service Delivery with Technology-Driven Monitoring and
Evaluation: Building a Culture of Evidence-Based Decision Making. Sub-theme 1:
Innovations and Embedding Technologies in MEL

1. Big Data Analytics for enhanced Decision Making
2. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in M&E
3. Geospatial technologies and remote sensing in M&E
4. Technology for efficient data management and analysis in MEL
5. Promoting mobile technology and digital surveys
6. Data visualization, dashboards and National data infrastructures
7. Emerging technologies, cyber security in M&E and Learning systems

Registration fees.

Participants will be required to pay registration fee to cover for the conference facilities, meals
and other related cost. The fee is as follows:
