Dr. Kapongola Nganyanyuka (PhD) is the Chairman of Tanzania Evaluation Association and Applied Social Researcher and Evaluator in the development sector, with more than 15 years of proven experience in planning, designing and managing evaluation strategies for programs and projects in diverse sectors including, the Agricultural, Governance, Health (HIV/AIDS), Water and Information and Communications Technologies for Development (ICT4D).
His technical skills include process/impact evaluation, mixed-methods research design, data collection and interpretation, qualitative and quantitative analysis, drafting of technical reports as well as use of evaluations including designing, developing and disseminating visualizations.

Kapongola is also a dedicated Humanitarian & Development Photographer with experience in supporting organizations demonstrate social impact through visual storytelling. Very adept in documenting human-interest stories using photographs, videos/film and infographics.
He holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Twente, Netherlands, a master’s degree in Development Planning and Management from Kwame Nkrumah University, Ghana, and a bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
